clean greasy spoon http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/cafes/troy-nw53aa.html#r52852 well if you want a big plate of food at an honest price then this is where you'll get it. The cafe is clean and service good, even kate moss has eaten there so has a famous person crudential lol . The breakfast seems to be the most popular choice but the menu is large and caters 4 all tastes . Used to be a lovely french restaurant by the way and that s why the petit prince is painted above

It's fair to say i am partial to a take-away and extreamly greedy! sam the man...if anyone can, sam can...sams chicken is so delightful after licking my fingers dry, i slid my tongue along the inner layer of the burger container. Oh happy days they sing...This no frills eaterie is well worth a visit. cheap cheap.x

Tattererd Charm http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/night-clubs/the-forum-nw51jy.html#r41478 A great mid-size gig venue with plenty of history and charm. The Forum has hosted some legends over the years, my fave memory being the Libertines in 2003. I think the sound is spot on (if you're in the standing section) and love the shabby elegance of the place - like a lot of classic old London Theatres/venues. Drinks choices are limited, but the 3 downstairs bars mean you shouldn't wait long to get served.

Very nice. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-oxford-nw52aa.html#r26390 This is a great pub with great food. The Sunday Roast is incredible. It's also good for a cheeky pint on the way home from work.

Sometimes they have entertainment like stand-ups and musicians.

But the food is what does it for me. Not cheap, but really tasty.

If it's late at night... http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/fast-food-takeaway/chicken-cottage-nw52ju.html#r26383 ...you've had a few to drink, you're on the way home and you get the munchies, pop into Chicken Cottage.

It's like a cottage. A cottage full of delicious, yummy chicken. They'll put it in a box for you, so it stays hot all the way home. Yummy.

Eat http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pizza-restaurants/pizzaexpress-nw18pd.html#r14579 This is the most impressive looking pizza express I've been in but as Beth says it can often feel very empty and the atmosphere isn't that great.

However the pizzas are up to the usual pizza express standard and the staff are nice. I'm yet to find somewhere else to eat in Tufnell.

A nice find http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/restaurant-bars/grand-union-nw51tl.html#r13413 Stumbled across this after a day chilling further up the road in Parly Hill Fields. Contained within two floors, it have plenty of seating amidst the moody lighting on the ground floor. Has some special offers on the beers and these are delivered by friendly staff. Where it takes a surprising turn is downstairs where the basement is awash with rugs, sofas and that day, a DJ pumping out some smooth reggae, As I was here on a Sunday after a lazy day in the early Spring sunshine this was very welcome. And with a intelligent and relaxed crowd, I really didn't want leave. A quick analysis of the posters shows that there are quite a lot of DJ nights, so will be definitely going back on a busier night!
