clean greasy spoon http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/cafes/troy-nw53aa.html#r52852 well if you want a big plate of food at an honest price then this is where you'll get it. The cafe is clean and service good, even kate moss has eaten there so has a famous person crudential lol . The breakfast seems to be the most popular choice but the menu is large and caters 4 all tastes . Used to be a lovely french restaurant by the way and that s why the petit prince is painted above

Up The Villa! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/cafes/villa-nw52ae.html#r10316 Smashing Turkish restaurant that also does take-aways. Its got that really nice, family-owned restaurant feel, and the owners and chef can't do enough for you - including throwing in a free foil swan fruit platter (a lot better than it sounds). The chef cooks everything in plain view in the restaurant, and whilst he may appear to be drunk, he sure can cook a kebab.

Organically Orgasmic http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/cafes/cafe-red-nw52tg.html#r3475 All the food served at this new restaurant in Kentish town is organic and fresh- the owner owns the local organic butchers down the road. The style of the food is continental though as the head chef is French the food does have a french flair to it. There is also a downstairs bar that can be hired for private functions. Freshly prepared cakes make a wonderful desert. Friendly staff. Tips left on credit card are taxed so it is always best to leave a cash tip!

Average, but peaceful http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/cafes/cafe-renoir-nw52ab.html#r2937 Perhaps it's just that I've lived in Kentish Town the whole time I've been in London; but, the two times that I've eaten at Cafe Renoir - they've dished up some pretty good omelettes. I'm not too picky about omelettes, so that's not saying *too* much. The staff has been rather good at being approached by people who need a seat or otherwise; and the food has been promptly delivered on a number of occassions.

The location is what gets me, it's a nifty little area. But I think this is just the aspect that it's in Kentish Town. The quaint area surrounding it can be rather peaceful - as long as you're getting in there around opening time. Otherwise, be prepared for morning/daily traffice on Kentish Town Road.

Although, I must say - their mocha cappucino was pretty nice. So was most of the other coffee-based products I got there. All in all, check it out if you feel like going to a cafe in Kentish Town. However, you can always find better closer towards Camden Road.
