<![CDATA[Greater London - Camden - Kentish Town - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Pubs - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Very nice. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-oxford-nw52aa.html#r26390 This is a great pub with great food. The Sunday Roast is incredible. It's also good for a cheeky pint on the way home from work.

Sometimes they have entertainment like stand-ups and musicians.

But the food is what does it for me. Not cheap, but really tasty.

Pub with great food http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-oxford-nw52aa.html#r10271 The food at the Oxford is great - this is exactly what gastropub food should be about. Always reliable with good service and for a reasonable price.

The Pork Belly (as mentioned before!) is always great.

The pub at the front of the place is great too - that is if you manage to get a seat. The one downside to the place is that the actual bar/pub is quite small - and while this makes it have a great atmosphere if you can sit down, it is a bit over crowded if you can't.

Fantastic gastropub http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-junction-tavern-nw51ag.html#r10256 Adore this place. I think it might be my favourite place to eat.

This is a great gastropub with a menu that changes daily and the food is always superb - not what you would expect from a gastropub.

There is a restaurant area at the front, at which you will most certainly need to book in advance (but well worth it) and then a pub area and large beer garden at the back. You can eat from the bar menu in the whole place, which is handy if you have not booked.

Try it - I am sure you will love it!

Fantastic local pub http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-pineapple-nw52nx.html#r10247 This is a great local pub just on my street. It has just been refurbished but has kept all of it's local charm and character and is very popular.

Highlights include the pub quiz on a Monday night - which is pretty challenging, the new Thai food menu which is reasonably priced and the trendy local crowd on a Friday and Saturday night.

Well worth a visit!

Shake The Tree http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-pineapple-nw52nx.html#r10227 Great locals pub, with a beer garden and conservatory, dingily and eccentrically decorated entirely with pineapples. And I'm no total thicky, but the pub quiz is brain-hurtingly hard.

If You're Abbey And You Know It http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/abbey-tavern-nw19qb.html#r10215 Top summer boozer with a beer garden AND a roof terrace. The staff are usually hot, but sometimes surly, and if you want to enter into the minefield that is ordering food, better cancel all appointments for the next few days.

Bull and Great http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-bull-gate-nw52tj.html#r10196 Old oirish fellas in the main room, generally terrible bands in the gig room. Anyone who's anyone ever has played here at some time though, from your mate's brother's casio-skiffle band, to Bruce Springsteen (probably), so you might as well enjoy it.

A great local http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/camden/kentish-town/pubs/the-pineapple-nw52nx.html#r10117 This is my local in every sense of the word - I wouldn't even need to take a brolly if it was raining, its that close.

After a couple of years in the wilderness The Pineapple has been given the makeover it deserves while losing none of its charm (and thankfully its eclectic mix of locals)

Its low key, laid back style and welcoming staff, including the lovely Simon, make it a near perfect destination.

I love the new Thai menu, it offers a real alternative to all of the other more traditional gastropubs in the area (which if I'm honest it could not really compete with)

They have just re-introduced the Sunday lunch too so I'll be giving that a try soon.

A great pub, and if you like that sort of thing you might even spot the odd celeb face!
