<![CDATA[Greater London - Croydon - Beddington - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Great http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/furniture-shops/ikea-cr04uz.html#r42846 Reasonably priced items ranging from anything to everything you'd ever need for your house and home. Best part is they sell cheap dime bars, I didn't even know they were Swedish!

Great Stuff Great prices http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/furniture-shops/ikea-cr04uz.html#r42646 We love Ikea in our house, its always a full day out for us. Great furniture, funky designs, fresh ideas all at great prices. For those of you who like to have a bit of style in your home, Ikea is a great way to do it. And if you get fed up and want a change, you can chuck it all out and start again as the prices afford you this. Check out the bargain corner and don't forget to have a hotdog for the way home.

A maze! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/furniture-shops/ikea-cr04uz.html#r40909 Well what do you expect of Ikea...busy huge store, cheap funky furniture and loads of little bits and pieces you don't actually need or probably never will!

This Ikea is no exception. It’s huge and has everything you would expect to find in an Ikea. I'm not a huge fan as it’s so big and I can never find my way out...such a maze! The car park is always manic even though its massive it is an effort to park.

It’s on the Purley Way, which is great if you need to go anywhere else as all the big superstores are located in the same area.

Apparently the best time to go is late evening….so if you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night then perhaps give it a try!

A23 Hell http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/furniture-shops/ikea-cr04uz.html#r33942 It seems to me that the people in charge of locating Ikea stores in the UK took complete leave of their senses when they plumped for Croydon. Travelling from Brighton into Croydon via the A23 is just miserable. What should probably take you up to an hour nearly always ends up taking you two. By the time you get there you are a shadow of your former self and you haven't even started yet.

OK so this branch of Ikea is vast but it is ALWAYS packed and chaotic...it's enough to bring the sanest of people to tears. Don't get me wrong I quite like a trip to Ikea...especially as they do veggie hotdogs at the exit...but I avoid Croydon like the plague. I drive to Lakeside now. It's further to go but actually takes less time...motorway all the way...result!

King Yip http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/supermarkets/wing-yip-cr04nz.html#r27247 Seriously though...but seriously. This place is incredible. Forget any crazy preconceptions regarding a Chinese supermarket. There's some stonking bargains to be had here. Plus it's a one-stop-shop for all spice and condiment needs. Once you've had the Mi Goreng instant noodles, you'll never look back. But seriously.

Oriental Heaven! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/supermarkets/wing-yip-cr04nz.html#r26943 Amazing Oriental Superstore. I love this place, its basically the orients answer to Asda, but about a trillion times better. Out the back of the shop is for trade, so if you own a Chinese/Thai restaurant check it out. The front part of the shop sells Chinese/Thai/Japanese food at very good prices….VAT is added at the till. There is everything you could imagine from sauces to frozen chicken feet to live lobsters. They sell all the usual things you would order from a Chinese takeaway but at a fraction of the price and you get to cook it yourself. Its also great to get meat and fish for the BBQ here. The other great thing is that you don’t have to pack at the till and payment is done at a different desk! If you live in the area and like Oriental food then you have to visit this shop, it’s a fab experience!

It doesn't have to be like this.... http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/furniture-shops/ikea-cr04uz.html#r26436 This is how I thought IKEA had to be... crazy busy... massive queues.. chaotic carpark.. no staff to help... a maze like store which you end up going round and round trying to find something that isn't in the place it ought to be... BUT then I discovered IKEA Edmonton which is a oasis of calm in comparision. I will never go to the Croydon branch again, it epitomises everything that is wrong with IKEA in this country.

MUST have the meatballs!! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/furniture-shops/ikea-cr04uz.html#r26433 Ok, Ikea is Ikea... we know what we're getting... but this one is massive. You can spend hours in here and not get round everything.

I would suggest going during the day or late at night to avoid the screaming children experience.

And one more thing, go in the restaurant and eat the meatballs... they are AMAZING!!

Superb service! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/croydon/beddington/opticians/optilabs-cr04nn.html#r23655 I was reccommend to try this place to get a new pair of specs some years ago and haven't looked back since. Now the whole family get their specs here as the price and service is second to none. The staff are always ready to help and patient if you have a difficult problem.

They always have a great range of frames in stock and have their own technicians on site as well.

I have been wearing specs for 25 years and I have not found a better optician.
