wonderful hair and beauty http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/beauty-salons/beauty-base-w36nd.html#r53191 This small salon is good value for money and it provides an excellent service to compliment. I walked in without an appointment and although it was busy I was still seen.

I had eyebrow threading, waxing, and a facial. i also went on the amazing sunb bed. And finally I did my hair. I had it couloured and highlighted. It was a very nice experience and I would highly recommend it.

I was also told that the beauticain was a professional make-up artist and hair stylist. She showed me some pictures of her work. She had done make up for brides, celebrities. and some very glamorous models including a previous Miss England who was runner up in MIss World. The pictures were beautiful!

Vanilla - a peaceful and welcome sanctuary http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/cafes/vanilla-w36ay.html#r53091 After watching how some commercial sandwiches are made it is a blessing to find this lovely little coffee shop on my doorstep that pays immaculate attention to detail on sourcing organic and beautifully fresh produce. Just as much care is also made in making my sandwich while I wait, on the bread (of which there are many amazing options) I fancy, with as many as ingredients as I need and no upturned eyebrows at my weird taste and fussiness. Well worth a visit in your lunch hour to wind down and fill up! Well done Vanilla

Fantastic http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/unisex-hairdressers/anthony-bell-w36ax.html#r52071 I had my colour done by Anthony Bell in September 2007, having just come back from a few months travel and looking rather frazzled...

From the vintage teacups to the fantastic magazines and lovely interior, I had an excellent colour and cut for a fraction of central London salon prices.

Well worth the visit - and a friend who I recommended go there, has done several times with brilliant results each time!

Very fresh sushi http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/japanese-restaurants/sushi-hiro-w53ld.html#r50743 Directly opposite Ealing Common Tube station.

This place only serves sushi & sashimi in terms of food... so no hot food - no katsu curry, no croquette, no gyoza, no udon, no tempura... yeah...

Very authentic, fresh ingredients, best try their toro and tamago sushi, very very nice.

We were sitting at the bar and you could see the chefs carefully preparing the fish... it looks like a piece of art... really...

Note: Please reserve a table before you go and they only take cash!

Awesome http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/barbers/actife-w39by.html#r38398 It took me a while to find Actife after arriving in London from the States, but I'll never go anywhere else. There are 8 chairs and 8 awesome barbers. Whether you want the latest fad or fancy or the older, well-respected style, these men have the skills.

This is the place to come away looking REALLY good. And, for a reasonable price as well. Rich

Brillant Tea Party http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/cafes/vanilla-w36ay.html#r36175 My-self and 12 guests had an afternoon tea party at Vanilla on 20/05/08. I would highly reccomend Vanilla for a place to go and have a relaxing and enjoyable time. We had various sandwiches, cakes, fruit and drinks. The food was delicious all home-made from organic produce. It was excellent value for money. Janice and her staff were very attentive to us. Would definitely go again.

Polite, artistic and very competent! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/plumbers/da-vinci-plumbing-w53nn.html#r9517 A rare experience of a plumber. I met Da Vinci outside a house where he was working and asked for his card. He showed me pictures of his work and it looked so beautiful. He changed our kitchen taps and later did our bathroom. We enjoyed working with them because as a small family business they were charming, reliable and always polite. Da Vinci was always willing to listen to us and only interested in doing something we would be happy with and at the same time ready with advice and useful suggestions. Only the sky is the limit to what this man can do and he knows his plumbing! Modest and very polite, and rare for a plumber: smiling. Phone them, or you will regret it!

i was surprised how good she was.. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/ealing/acton/hairdressers/pro-hands-by-sonia-w36ax.html#r9339 I was telling my friend that no hairdresser (don`t want to mention the big names) wanted to "risk" coloring my hair, the way i wanted them... well, i guess i have to tell you about my long brown hair, usually turning red if i want blond high-lights....oh and i should also mention that i am theee fussiest fashion and art design student eveer..

anyway, my friend told me to try out Sonia, as she is an experienced women, who knows how to deal with your hair..

so the next day-one day before my birthday, i risked it and i went...

-To keep it short: "I came, saw and conquered" I had brought a picture of Beyonce`s big curl style with a honey brown tone...aah just beautiful... and you know what?? i got the exact same colour-just with straight hair..... she was my personal hero that day and the best part about all this is that many girls asked me on the streets " wow,who did your hair?"

the salon is very small and I think its manly sonia who works there..so for a little salon it is normal to be waiting till the hairdresser is finished with her work.... an artist needs her time :) it is a nice atmosphere and once you on the chair, they pamper you, make u smile and just make you feel welcome...

i am very pleased with her and i cant wait to go back to get my roots done ;)
