<![CDATA[Greater London - Greenwich - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Size isn't everything http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/greenwich/greenwich/womens-clothing/dress-circle-se109hz.html#r47707 Dress Circle is an Aladdin's cave of fashion treasures. Inside this cosy store, racks are jam packed with as good as new items at bargain prices. It is a novelty now, but it felt wonderful to be greeted with a beaming smile and a friendly face that was genuinely pleased to see you. It was clear straight away, that even on this busy market Sunday, nothing was going to be too much trouble. As a man, it is the only women's clothes shop I have been in where I didn't want to go and stand outside immediately. Instead we were offered tea while the women browsed and tried on! And that was to take a while, for the range inside is truly incredible. Dress Circle caters for all ages, tastes and occasions. It also offers a huge range of hats, shoes and accessories. Dress Circle is not just a clothes shop, it is an experience, a nostalgic trip back in time. A time when every shop keeper was this attentive and wore a measuring tape around their neck! Furthermore when you are treated this way you are happy to spend money inside. You have been made to feel special and that special lady in your life has picked up a bargain and will be smiling for the rest of the day! So men I urge you, don't join the hoards of fathers, brothers, sons, husbands, boyfriends, grandads and uncles that lean on shop front windows looking utterly disgusted with life every weekend. Go inside. As for those ladies who shudder at the thought of wearing second- hand clothes, remember the words of fashion writer Lee Mildon, "people seldom notice old clothes if you wear a big smile", well Dress circle will certainly give you one of those.

Fabulous Chinese and Thai products http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/greenwich/woolwich/cash-carry/loon-fung-e162ej.html#r46465 Thanks to JP J's review, I went to this chinese Store today. Yes, I can agree with everything he says. Clean fresh produce, was very happy. The food we ordered from the canteen tasted good. The groceries I bought I am happy with and although I went on a Thursday, I managed to get some roasted ducks which was lovely because I intend to cook it. There is a huge varierty of stuff, the isles are huge and the staff are extremely helpful, one staff member offered to push my trolley whilst I pushed my daughter in her buggy which was incredibly helpful as he lead me to all the items on my shopping list which saved me loads of time. I would deffinately go again soon.

No Good http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/greenwich/woolwich/dentists/n-karia-associates-se186hx.html#r43658 Took my son to this dentist and saw an Asian dentist on the ground floor. She didn't check to see if my son had any cavities. She proceeded directly to remove plague and then said she was finished. My poor son said he was in so much pain as his gums were bleeding and his lip. She said to make another appointment to torture him some more. After she finished torturing him, she didn't clean or polish his teeth. When I enquired at the reception, the lady said if I wanted him to get a polish, my 14 yr old son would need to pay £37 to the hygienist. Plus in the reception they have a inconspicous camera looking directly down on people putting in their pin numbers when they pay via a card. I will never go to this dentist again. They treat NHS patients horribly and don't give them proper treatment but I bet NHS is paying them for this treatment that they don't give. I had a previous dentist who never hurt my children when he removed plague, who checked to see if they had no cavities on each visit and who polish and cleaned my children's teeth on each visit. This N. Karia and Associates is no good in my opinion! The only thing is that this woman dentist appeared friendly.

Great little Café http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/greenwich/eltham/cafes/cafe-dee-eltham-se95dn.html#r41715 I’ve been to a few café’s in Eltham and until a couple of months ago I had not been to this one, and I had definitely missed a trick… by far the better one out of the ones I’ve been too. The place feels roomy and you’rer not all squeezed in like in some café’s. The staff are pleasant and accommodating, last time I went there was a group of 9 of us and they moved the tables so that we could all sit together. The food is very tasty and there is a good choice on the menu.

Not the best Café http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/greenwich/eltham/cafes/jennys-restaurant-se95pr.html#r41711 This isn’t the best café I’ve been too, but I can’t say it’s the worst either. The food is ok and the portions are big, but the place is quite small and cramped and the chairs are fixed to the tables in groups of four so you can’t sit in a bigger group or move your chair around which I found quite claustrophobic. They also do other food in here like Roast dinner’s on a Sunday but I have not tried the other food…. I’m pretty sure though when I was in there last that they were re-using the uneaten veg from people’s plates, not nice.

The best takeaway! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/greenwich/eltham/indian-restaurants/curry-garden-takeaway-se91xa.html#r41034 This place does the best Indian takeaway around! All my family use this place. They are friendly and it is very good value for money. They also through the popadoms and sauces in for free and if you spend over a certain amount you also get a complimentary dish! Bargain! Would definatley recommend this place, wouldn't get my curry from anywhere else unless I wan in Canterbury and then it would be a different matter.
