Only good thing to be said for this one is it's pretty much right opposite the tube station so you don't have far to go if you've got to get away.

In response to Harry C above - I had a drink there the other night in balmy weather and it was really nice...large windows stood open to let the air in and big easy chairs to lounge in. They even have a couple of tables outside. And grolsch on tap alongside other good lagers and bitters.

Not too expensive but again there are better places very close by.

Not great but at least you know what you'll find on the menu. It's not so bad you'd never go there but with so many better places so close by you'd need a pretty good reason. One for when money's tight towards the end of the month.

That said, if you're planning an all-dayer in Angel this is a great place to start, reasonably priced drinks, no attitude and good atmosphere when there's sport on. A nice pub.
