It comes to something when you think to yourself "oh that's fairly reasonable" when you are charged just £3.25 for a pint of Becks Vier.

The food is great and very affordable, the staff are lovely, they have several big screens, a couple of pool tables, and a pinball machine.

Its situated right on Newington Green so is an easy bus ride away from anywhere. Did I mention they have a pinball machine?

The customers are all pretty well off slightly up themselves 20 somethings but the pub itself is really nice.

There's a large restaurant area and the food is pretty expensive for a pub, but i've never had a bad meal there.

Drinks are pub prices and they do a good range of organic soft drinks.

In the middle of summer they only seem to have one air conditioned room, and the premises look more like a badly built cab office than a dental surgery. The basement treatment room had to have the door open to the waiting room! My bridge came out after eating bread about 1 month after it was finished and the dentist didn't do anything to shake off the air of a seedy car business dealer. It might be ok for a touch up every now and again, but if you are doing anything else - stay away from this practice. They also didn't have the facilities of paying by phone or to get a patient number and pay directly in to their bank account so it gets a negaive mark on this point too.

It's not expensive compared to chain coffee shops (It was £1.70 for a latte) and the coffee is better. (They bring it to your table so you don't have to hang around at the till.)

The best bit is the choice of cakes and pastries - my oh my. These are delicious. I have a real sweet tooth, and recommend their toffee cheesecake in particular.

Also on sale are some imported French groceries - packaged goods like biscuits, jam, etc.

I live less than 5 mins away, and it's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon (although it gets very busy at times).
