<![CDATA[Greater London - Islington - Farringdon - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Bad http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/islington/farringdon/chartered-surveyors/colleys-surveyors-valuers-ec1n2tj.html#r51979 Notice to Mortgage Brokers & anyone doing a remortgage or selling their home in Essex or East London!

If you are buying a house or remortgaging, once it comes to instructing the surveying company, please for goodness sake, DO NOT use Colleys Surveyors, as they are poor with their valuations, and are down valuing properties 50%, I have complained to them, however to avail, they just seem to take the money, down value and run, leaving you out of pocket. I have seen them do this in the last 12 months, so use another company! Otherwise you would be just wasting it, I have spoken to many other brokers estate agents etc and they agree and all have comparable evidence to, I just thought Id put it on here, also anyone else know where I can put this warning!!! Thanks.

RE: Parcels going walkabout http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/islington/farringdon/post-office/post-office-ec1m3ll.html#r51611 I have now posted two parcels from this post office branch and have noticed that they did not reach their destinations.

On one occasion I had posted two parcels (free post) at the same time for which i did not get a proof of returns signature from the post office (although i admit i should have, there is no excuse for such complacency), one parcel reached the destination but the other didn't so am not sure where the parcel has gone walkabout.

both my parcels have cost me £60 for which i have not been refunded by the destination company because the parcels never reached them.

a few people have also mentioned to me that parcels have gone missing from this Post office. some sort of checking system needs to be put in place.

i also think the staff is really slow in their service.

The best jeweller in town! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/islington/farringdon/jewellers/jupp-fine-jewellery-ec4y1aa.html#r51372 Jupp Fine Jewellery stock a range of jewellery from silver to platinum, with both semi precious and precious stones as well as some glassware and jewellery boxes. The service is outstanding and friendly. Not only do they stock from suppliers, but stock their own creations as well and are happy to find or make anything you request. They are exceptional in the engagement and wedding ring department. They also clean jewellery totally free of charge which is always an added bonus. They take the time to get to know their clients which always makes for an enjoyable buying experience. I whole heartedly recommend Jupp Fine Jewellery as the best place to purchase your jewellery.

This place is amazing http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/islington/farringdon/french-restaurants/passage-cafe-ec1v4jp.html#r50160 I have just come back from Paris and none of the food was as good as this place and five times the cost. A remarkable find. I have worked in Clerkenwell for five years and I can say it the best hidden gem by far, I eat there at least 3 times a week.

What more do you need? always found prices here reasonable, and the sales are particularly good, ideal if you go skiing in the summer or camping in midwinter!

and the pickled eggs aren't bad either http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/islington/farringdon/private-clubs/ye-olde-mitre-ec1n6sj.html#r43835 the pickled eggs look almost as old as the pub itself. Used to go in here a lot when I worked in Holborn and it was a welcome relief from a lot of the more manufactured concept bars in the vicinity.

Best Roses in London http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/islington/farringdon/florists/beautiful-flowers-ec1m5uy.html#r43742 I love this florist. They have such a wonderful selection of cut flowers, pot plants and ready made bouquets. The flowers are always fresh and seasonal where possible - they're very concious of the environmental needs to reduce flower-miles.

Best of all are their roses which smell delicous and seem to last twice as long as roses from other florists - where do they get them?!

Just great, check them out

Great fun, but pricey http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/islington/farringdon/restaurant-bars/volupte-lounge-ec4a1ej.html#r43676 I went to Volupte Lounge a few weeks ago to celebrate a friend's birthday. After a few extremely overpriced cocktails in the bar area, we were let into the basement lounge - and the programme was really spectacular. A word of advise though - be prepared to empty your wallet - this will not be a cheap fun. At £35 per person, I thought it was a bit over the top.
