Great hairdresser - Rude Manager

I just visited 171 after reading the reviews on this site.

Lovely Paulo cut my hair and she was a wonderfull, she listened to what i wanted and put up with my contstant questioning and generally being a pain. I love my hair cut! When i was leaving the manager just showed me a tiny sign (2inch x 2inch) that said they only accept cash or cheques which is surprising for a london salon even my local morrisons no longer takes cheques!? So, after he demanded (no appology, no plea or thankyou. not even a smile) i leave my mobile phone or keys and off i went 10 minutes up to the tube station to get some cash. When i returned he didnt even look up at me. Just passed me my phone and told me how much i owed him. I left a tip for the Paulo - as if it wasnt for him i would have been a very satified customer. I dont think i would go back just beause i left so angry at how rude the manager was.

Paying cash is not a big problem if only they tell you when you book the apointment.

I had a beautiful vintage 50's dress which was slightly too tight for me. I took it into Joe and asked him to let it out by 1 inch at the back. There was enough material at the back to do this. The dress had a beautiful one shoulder sash detail which was the main feature of the dress. When I went to pick up my dress Joe had taken the sash off and used it to put material in the back of dress. he did not ask my permission to do this, i would not have let anyone do that under any circumstances. It was also not necessary at all. He also let out the front of the dress which did not need doing. He has totally ruined the dress it does not fit at all in any place and the sash detail has been removed and replaced with a thin shoulder strap which looks like it should not be there. Anyone who is passionate about clothes and who understands fashion would not have done that to the dress. I'm appalled and disgusted that this talentless, incompetent man has a shop at all. I would not recommend him unless you wish him to totally and utterly ruin your clothes. This dress being vintage is irreplaceable. I'm devastated.

dont go here they are just there to make money stay away have done very bad work could have done better myself ruin good teeth

The times I've eaten here it's nearly always been very good. Once or twice the buns were a bit stale. But what really made me angry was that I went in before their stated closing time (10pm) but they refused to serve me, offering take-away service instead. If they aren't open to eat in at 9:30, then they shouldn't state their closing time as 10. I'm going to try Hamburger Union for a burger next time.

Have been waiting 14 weeks for my furniture, company has not called me once, I have had to call them every time regardless of them promising to call me, customer services have no clue where my furniture is or when I will receive it. I have spent over £1000 with them and this is how they treat me? When speaking with help desk they are so monosyllabic and rude it really annoys me to have spent so much with them.

1 Star is too much for them!

....and so do my children, it has everything under one roof that you would possibly want for your children and more!! And the service is great too, I always get my childrens' hair cut there!
