<![CDATA[Greater London - Kingston - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Sad Report http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/kingston/kingston-vale/pubs/duke-of-cambridge-sw153pt.html#r51941 I have many happy memories of this pub - my grandmother was the licensee and my father managed it until about 1955. Last time I visited, food and drink were conspicuous by their absence, and this may have something to do with the fact that it is now a block of flats. Sadly this fine building has been demolished. World of fun at World of Adventures http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/kingston/chessington/entertainment-centres/chessington-world-of-adventures-kt92ne.html#r50326 If you really want to treat your kids then take them to Chessington. There's something for everyone-from Dragon's Fury ,for those who like the thrills of a roller-coaster, to Professor's Bubbleworks for those ,(like me) , who prefer something more sedate! Guaranteed, great day out. If you can take the kids on an Inset day ,rather than in the holidays or at weekends, then queues will be much shorter. Otherwise, it is worth investing in a fast pass to bypass those queues.

Horrible Horrible experience.. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/kingston/kingston-upon-thames/estate-agents/charlestate-kt25el.html#r50287 I had my worst time of life after dealing with this estate agent.. I booked a two bedroom flat in Kingston, paid admin fees, holding deposit and 6 weeks rent as advance around 10 days before I was scheduled to move into my new property..

Around two days before that, I went to their office and came to know that deal is canceled because someone else has offered more money to the landlord.. I was not given landlord's number even the manager's number and I was left to find a new property in another two days. . I fought with them to get my money back and till now ( After good four months..) I am yet to receive my 300 GBP from these guys.. he ( Abbey - properitor / manager) has refused to pay back my money..

I wouldn't recommend this estate agent to even my worst enemy.. they have even moved their office to worcester park making it even difficult for me to contact them..

Great Day Out http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/kingston/chessington/entertainment-centres/chessington-world-of-adventures-kt92ne.html#r46735 We took the family of 15 (8 children & 7 adults) for the day at Chessington, it was brilliant, loads to do for the under 5's in the Toytown and for the adults with the rides, I particularly liked the dragon falls ride and we had a picnic which was lovely.

Nice pool http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/kingston/kingston-upon-thames/health-clubs/david-lloyd-leisure-club-kt11qj.html#r42845 David Lloyds are quite pricey, that's why I left them in favour of a much more reasonable one in the neighbouring town. The sales people are really pushy! I only went in there to have a look around and the next thing I knew I was signing a contract. However, this is a nice gym, it has all the standard fitness classes. I particularly liked the pool, which feels really private, in a room that lets in a lot of natural light from a high window, and is designed to permanently overspill (I think these are called eternity pools? Might have that wrong). They don't allow children in there at all, it's purely adults-only. The only thing is, it's pretty small for serious swimmers.

Great curry http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/kingston/new-malden/indian-restaurants/lal-akash-restaurants-kt34by.html#r42039 This is a very good curry house. It is family run by some good people, they take pride in their food and rightly so. I recommend the bhunas...excellent. It serves the best Indian food in New Malden.

Rather ropey http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/kingston/kingston-upon-thames/pubs/sir-robert-peel-kt13hh.html#r41969 I have been to see a few bands here and they've been ok. But this joint is perhaps better known for it’s female, erm, exotic dancers performing on certain nights. Whilst I am intrigued about this side of the Peel's business, I am in no immediate hurry to rush over there and check them out. It is in the less desirable area of town so emerging after a late night out and having to pass the local estate on the way home isn't the most attractive prospect...
