<![CDATA[Greater London - Lambeth - Brixton - Shopping and Amenities - Bike Shops - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Brixton Cycles http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/brixton/bike-shops/brixton-cycles-sw99tp.html#r22720 Brixton Cycles isnt a faceless chain like Halfords its a proper local biz. I bought my bike from these guys 18 months back. within the first 12 months they gave it 3 free check ups and sorted out any probs.

They hold free cycle clinics every Sat morning if you can be bothered.

Only issue i have is that they open at 9am and shut at 6pm.. Not ideal if u work

A local store for local cyclists http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/brixton/bike-shops/apex-cycles-sw47ur.html#r3363 Speak to Richard when you go in. These guys are great. The store is packed with a huge array of bikes, accessories and there is a repair centre at the back for those of you who need some work done. I've tried both Evans - newly opened up the road - and these guys- and would recommend Apex anytime. Asides, from the fact that it isn't a chain store, Richard knows his stuff. He'll let you take the bikes for a test ride if you need. Just leave your card behind the desk. Evans do the same but they swipe your card. Evans also employes students who while are very helpful, I slightly felt that they were looking to make a sale rather than listening to what you want.

The prices are more realistic here. evans pushed me towards the higher end bike while Apex actually suggested something cheaper. This place every time.
