<![CDATA[Greater London - Lambeth - Clapham Common - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Restaurant Bars - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Clapham South's DJ Bar http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham-common/restaurant-bars/gigalum-sw49dw.html#r42199 Clapham South doesn't really have many bars or pubs.

Balham and Clapham Common is usually 'destination centrale' for bars.

Gigalum opened a year or so ago and is Clapham South's third bar. It's much more livelier than the Glow Lounge and Firefly and there are a lot of seriously beautiful wide eye'd and chatty people in here sipping cocktails and desperately trying to impress/pull.

It's open late and it's good to have this sort of Bar on your doorstep when you fancy a big night out. The main reason for coming is the huge terrace but be warned it can get very, very, very busy.

Connect 4 http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham-common/restaurant-bars/firefly-sw49da.html#r14585 I have many a fond memory of spending weekday afternoons in the Firefly playing Connect 4.

This pub is nicely located on clapham common south side and is great to drop into after a lazy day in the sun on the common or a drink to warm you up on a cold evening - The blazing fire outside is too hard to resist when it's cold.

They play a really strange mix of music. One minute it will be hard core rock, the next, pop music.

It's a quiet place and is more suited for drinks and a catch up with a few mates rather than a party.

You wouldn't feel uncomfortable popping in here on your own and reading the sunday papers with a pint of beer waiting for one of your mates to arrive.

The staff are nice, and all pretty hot too.

The food is ok but a bit pricey. The antipasto isn't great. If you're gonna eat, go for the duck as you get loads, or eat before you arrive.

They do a quiz on a Monday night and have lots of board games to play with too.

Take a jacket and sit outside. It's nice to be by the fire and perfect for people watching.
