<![CDATA[Greater London - Lambeth - Clapham - Home and Garden - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Never showed up http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham/builders/aspect-maintenance-services-sw115qf.html#r55779 I arranged for an 'aspect' plumber to come to my house to repair my toilet and install my dishwasher. I had to make special arrangements to come home from work early, and as a teacher this is never easy! I moved all of the white goods in the kitchen so he could get to the plumbing easily and cleared the cupboard under the sink to make things as quick and easy as possible, as they charge by the hour and us teachers don't get paid enough to pay £82 x2!! when i phoned to ask where the plumber was, i was passed between three different advisors, one of whom eventually contacted the plumber and esablished that he was not going to make it at all, because he got held up at another job. Having now read other customers dissatisfied reviews of this company I am starting to think i had a lucky escape!

Never again http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham/builders/aspect-maintenance-services-sw115qf.html#r53592 I'm really sorry I did not see these reviews before I got these people in. their attitude is "Whatever happens it will be the customers fault". They came out to fix a boiler. Gave diagnosis. Ordered part. Boiler still not working. Now want to charge again for coming out to have another look. Stay well away!!

Amazing service levels http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham/floorcoverings/floors-for-thought-sw111hw.html#r37629 I had been driving past this shop every day for 5 months, such a nice looking shop, when we needed some carpets for our new house in Clapham we decided to finally go in and have a look. It is run by 2 brothers who, from the outset, offered the best service we have had in ANY shop, Fantastic Ranges, honest advice, no hard selling, very family friendly (great toys for kids) we took so long to make a final choice and yet we were never pressured into hurrying our decision, every call was returned when promised and the fitting service was unbelieveable, the carpets are stunning, we had one tiny issue regarding the fitting and amazingly they informed us that they wouldnt take payment until we were 100% happy, the fitter came back within a day or so, then one of the owners came to our house (after hours) to inspect the job and to check we were happy. What a refreshing change to find a business with such a fresh approach. 10 out of 10

hard workers http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham/kitchen-planners/london-kitchen-extension-sw116qb.html#r10484 Although the chap that owns the company can be difficult to deal with the work his builders produce is excellent. Just make sure they do a thorough review before starting work as we were stung for some unforseen extras ie uneven floors and outside guttering which could have been highlighted early on. I would have no hesitation in recommending them with these caveats in place.

Be aware of this company. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham/builders/aspect-maintenance-services-sw115qf.html#r6766 We had water damage to our ceiling in bathroom and hallway. We called them to give us a quote. They gave us a number of quotes.

The last one we settled on was £3900 plus VAT for a small bathroom and hallway to be repaired.

They came and fixed the bathroom but then when we asked about the hallway they said no that we had signed for the earlier job quote number which was the exact same price for the hallway and the bathroom as Just the bathroom??

We do not really care about how much the job is as the insurers were paying but now we have to pay for the damage in the hall??

They are insisting that we are wrong about this but we are with holding final payment until this is settled.

Beware of this company.

Low Whisk Kitchen Shopping http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham/kitchenware/la-cuisiniere-sw116pj.html#r5898 Local legend says that, if Gordon Ramsay was Jesus, then this would be his Bethlehem stable. Probably.

This is a kitchen orientated shop. No bedroom fippery here. Oh No. Just pure kitchen products from knives that can slice a planet in two, to strange shaped poaching dishes, woks, strange pointy things, humble tea towels, minimalist egg cups and lots of Alessi. OK simply, if something was invented for the kitchen these people stock it (Serving Wenches excepted). There is so much stuff that they actually had to set up a second shop called 'Cuisiniere Too' to hold the over spill. That's the plus side.

The negatives are that the shop is a bit cramped. It's so packed that movement - when there are more than four people in the shop - can be difficult. Don't go in here fully loaded. The staff were also a bit unfriendly but that may have been due to the three screaming children that were causing havoc in the shop when we visited.

Price wise, well, it obviously varies but the products are good quality and last.

They also take the Wedge card which is great and can get you money off.
