Pub quiz on a Monday with loads of prizes... not just for coming first in the quiz either. Live sports are shown most nights of the week BUT even if you're just coming for a quiet drink - the atmosphere on sports nights isn't oppressive or intrusive as you can find a different area of the bar. The smoking/drinking terrace (rebuilt in 2007) is great and very sociable. Given the area, this pub is incredibly friendly and attracts all types - it's an after work bar, but also serves the Vauxhall club scene both pre and post clubbing! The roasts on offer on Sundays are EXCELLENT value and with puddings on offer for just £2 if you have the roast - you can spend the whole day here! Excellent service, a great ambience and reasonable places make this the ideal local pub.

A pretty standard pub on the outside and when you first step in but there's basically a back room that is hired out for DIY punk, hardcore, metal and other gigs. The only thing is that because it's not a formal venue and the shows are put on buy individual diy promoters it can be quite hard to find out what's on. Recommend popping in if you're in the area as there are usually posters and flyers up on the wall. Sound system isn't amazing or anything but atmosphere is usually good, beer and entry is cheap and there's usually some distro stalls with cheap records, CDs, shirts etc
