Sells single bottles! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/southwark/borough/off-license/majestic-wine-warehouse-se19bu.html#r44748 Yes, the only Majestic I've found in London which sells individual bottles of wine, which is great, as I have been known to drink less than a full case at a time. Best thing for about this place is it's an ideal stop if you're heading home after going for a stroll along the Thames. Now, many of you young people out there will probably say "Well, what about the pubs like the Market Porter? Go for a drink in there!" Well, when you've got kids, pubs aren't always the easiest of places to visit. So pop in here, grab a couple of bottles of something tasty and head home. I find the layout in here a bit weird, but the staff are generally pretty helpful and cheery, which is nice!

Millies http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/southwark/borough/bakers/millies-cookies-se19sp.html#r35013 Not Millies, they are mine! I have these for breakfast when getting off the train, i make myself buy into the idea that if you eat them first thing you can burn them off during the day. They are to die for, they even do double choc muffins too, not just cookies.

Great Cookies http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/southwark/borough/bakers/millies-cookies-se19sp.html#r31598 I love Millies cookie. Remember when it used to be Cookie Jar? Anyway the smell of the stuff pumping around waterloo station makes it pretty hard to resist. These guys give quick service too, so don;t worry about missing your train due to cookie related emergencies.

If you love food. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/southwark/borough/street-markets/borough-market-se11tl.html#r12309 If you love food then you'll love Borough Market.

It's right near Borough tube, London Bridge tube or London Bridge train station, so very easy to get to.

This is food lovers heaven, With many sections for different produce you can easily loose yourself here for a many hours. If you like fresh fruit and vegetables - there's everything you can imagine and all seemingly organic.

If dairy's your thing. I've never seen so many cheeses in one place and with stalls overing you tasters each way you turn, you will sure experience new cheesy delights and will never stick with Cheddar again.

Fresh meats, spices, breads - lots of breads. So much.

It does get busy, so as long as you can stomach the crowds and especially the tourists - it'll be ok.

I recommend you do as I, and take a break and treat yourself to something from one of the food stalls serving everything from crepes, to fallafal to fresh juices and sit in the nearby cathedral gardens to recharge your batteries.

Take cash, it's easier :)

Good food costs more! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/southwark/borough/street-markets/borough-market-se11tl.html#r6658 I love food and therefore I love Borough Market! It's a veritable assault on the senses, with colours, sounds, sights and smells everywhere you turn. There is prepared food to eat while you make your way around the market; and plenty of choice for tonight's dinner.

As you would expect, the quality of the food is reflected in the price; those used to supermarket prices should stay well clear. Personally, I think great food is worth paying for and will happily dig a little deeper.

The only downside is that it can get really busy. They need to implement some sort of one way system, especially as the volume of people can add to the overwhelmingness of the market.

I will definitely be making regular trips here to experiment with different foodstuffs in my cooking...
