I was looking for something different from the usual clowns and magicians for my daughter's birthday party, and was recommended Once Upon A Story by a friend. The children were enthralled by the story telling and had lots of fun with the party games.

Murals adorn the large changing room walls, there is plenty of room for sun loungers and sunbathers around the pool and fun, friendly lifeguards are on duty. In hot weather this place gets seriously packed, but it's a great place to socialise. Plus, there's a bar for coffees, tea, snacks etc. Check the website for when it opens this year, normally in June. Entry from £2.50
