Firstly I took my car in for an MOT and they told me it was going to be ₤500 so I part exchanged it for another car (at a different garage)- I later found out that it could have made it through for nearer to ₤150-₤200.

Then I took my new car in when there was a slight problem with the alternator belt and they quoted me ₤250. I had it done at another garage down the road for ₤80.

Carpenters garage cost me my car, stress, time and a considerable sum of money. They are the type of garage that make people reluctant to service their cars in London and give local garages a bad name.

I cannot recommend highly enough that you do NOT use them.
