<![CDATA[Greater London - Westminster - Soho - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en One of my favourite coffee shops... http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/cafes/the-breakfast-club-w1f8eu.html#r52158 I stumbled across this place by accident when invited to take part in a BBC London Tonight report about wi-fi in the capitol. They have free wi-fi.... I've returned many times since.

The staff are cool and friendly. They don't moan about using their power whilst working for a number of hours.

The coffee and food are well about par, and reasonably priced.

Pack a pair of headphone though, unless you're a fan of Virgin Radio!!

disappointed in customer service http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/antique-dealers/trevor-philip-sons-sw1y6np.html#r52082 A long distance purchase was made and when the items were received, we were disappointed. Because of life's bumps and bruises, and not minor ones either, we were unable to communicate this to the Trevor Philip & Sons until quite some time had passed. When asked whether they would buy back the items at a discount, Trevor Philip's initial response was "surprised" but by the second day of communication, it was our turn to be surprised. They were incessantly and inexcusably rude. Beware.

nice food but rude and unprofessional manager http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/moroccan-restaurants/maison-touaregue-w1d4tw.html#r52046 We had lovely food in this restaurant but we were left shaken by the unprofessional behaviour by the restaurant manager. And all unfrienliness and rudeness to us only because we wanted to give our tip in cash instead added to the bill as we wanted to make sure all tips are given to the staff. This is obliously not the case as wouldnt want to recommend this restaurant to anybody who wants a pleasant evening in a place where staff is treated nicely.

Quite amusing http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/gift-shops/octopus-w1f7dq.html#r52026 If you want a frog shaped toaster, hippo toilette brush, or other really unpractical household items then this is the place for you.

Only time I've found it useful is when trying to find something amusing for a batty aunt that you've been palming off smelly soap to for the last 5 Christmases - make sure she has a sense of humor and be prepared to receive it as a gift from her some years later - untouched in it's shinny box.

Tat you don't really need http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/gift-shops/octopus-w1f7dq.html#r52014 Kind of agree with the reviews above - good for the odd interesting gift, but most of the stuff is the unwrap-smile-and-put-it-in-the-cupboard-type-of-thing. Wouldn't be my first choice for gifts - plenty of better choice, and more useful stuff in other places around the capital. It also smells a bit too.

Loved it http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/indian-restaurants/maharaja-tandoori-w1d7hl.html#r51955 The Mahajara restaurant on Denman street has earned a place in my top restaurants list

It has everything: delicious food, fast and friendly staff and a very cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

I decided to try the Chicken Tikka Masala, with rice and naan bread with king prawns and mixed veg on the side. The food was very tasty and great quality, and the manager even threw in a couple of free beers which was very generous of him.

My friends and family loved it and I will definitely be returning there the next time I am in London

Little shop of b*llocks http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/gift-shops/octopus-w1f7dq.html#r51937 One of those places that sells gifts of a non-determinate nature. Chintzy, initially funny. If you need to buy someone something a bit funky, perhaps something bright and colourful for a friend who's moved into a new house, and you think what they're missing from their otherwise complete lives is a set of brightly coloured salad servers with realistic looking fisheads on the top, then you'll strike gold coming in here!
