<![CDATA[Greater London - Westminster - Soho - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Philippine Restaurants - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en I worry if this is authentic Filipino http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/philippine-restaurants/josephines-w1t2lp.html#r3240 Josephine's had been recommended as an 'authentic Filipino' restaurant. The trip there does live in memory, but simply as the worst meal my partner and I have had in London. It makes me worry what it's like to eat in the Philippines.

Every dish had clearly come out of the microwave; whether they were just re-heated there or fully cooked there, the effect was that the meats turned rubbery and cold within a few mmoments of them being on the table. A traditional pork dish, which was supposed to be red-tinged due to spice rubs, was so alarmingly fuschia that it screamed 'I contain cancer-causing color toxins' rather than 'I'm delicious, eat me eat me'. We couldn't pay up fast enough; the return walk up Charlotte Street was full of restaurant regret.
