<![CDATA[Greater London - Westminster - Soho - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Take Away - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en DELICIOUS! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/take-away/hummus-bros-w1f0th.html#r50932 This place gets an A+ for food and service. The atmosphere was a bit slow (it was raining on a Tuesday afternoon, so I guess that's not unexpected).

Friendly staff was very kind and helpful. I took a really long time to decide what I wanted to order (it all looked so tasty) and they walked me through the menu and made useful suggestions. Also, I am allergic to tomatoes so they were very kind and brought out a list of which dishes and what they contained so I could see which ones didn't have tomatoes.

The hummus was perfectly creamy and the bread perfectly fluffy. I had the Vegetable Salad (hold the tomatoes) with Feta Cheese on top. It was amazing. I ended up going back for dinner the next day so I could share the experience with my girlfriend.

Will definitely be back...again and again and again.

healthy quick eats http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/take-away/hummus-bros-w1f0th.html#r41452 I love hummus, and have even attempted to make my own but this place makes the best. The thing I don't like about it is that it could be so much more. The place is small, the selection not varied enough and the food over priced. It’s worth it for a one off lunch or something but I came out full but unsatisfied. Maybe you'll be different. They do do a loyalty card, which is good, but after my 3rd bowl, I felt so fed up with it that I threw it away.

Cute little shop http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/take-away/peppers-sandwich-shop-wc2h7ha.html#r35536 This Sandwich shop is a really nice looking place and will draw you in even if you didnt want anything, plus the big window at the front with everything displayed in it doesnt help. They do great panini's in here.

It's a really nice Cafe and the staff are efficient and friendly and for London it's not too expensive either!

Tasty tasty veg (with meat) http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/take-away/hummus-bros-w1f0th.html#r16996 I always liked the idea of this place but was never sure if I'd like the reality (would chickpeas be too bland to base a meal around!?!?!) - having now been I can happily say that the reality is indeed good!

A big bowl of humus with meat in the middle is a tasty and filling meal; I've seen people complain about prices but it all seemed good to me. I was also really impressed with the pitta breads (totally unlike any pitta I have had before) and salads (fresh, crispy and delicious).

A very cool place for lunch and certainly somewhere to go when you are fancying a change from your standard lunch fair.

Tip-top sandwiches. http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/take-away/sandwich-express-wc2h7ep.html#r14551 Reasonable prices and a great selection of fillings. There is always a queue meandering outside but don't let that put you off. The friendly fellas behind the counter are very quick, so you never have to wait too long, even though they're very generous with the fillings. Recommended.

Note for Summer - sandwiches in the park http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/take-away/sandwich-express-wc2h7ep.html#r14513 Sandwich express is a stone's throw from Leicester Square and prime route for a trip to St. James Park to eat your newly purchased sandwhiches.

Simple and cheap. Baps, bread or baguettes with lots of filling choices. A queue is quick, as despite the shop being 4ft by 4ft it has about 6 friendly, eager, serving staff who are quick with the salt and pepper.

Expensive but unique http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/soho/take-away/hummus-bros-w1f0th.html#r13803 As specialist food outlets go a whole restaurant/cafe dedicated to hummus is pretty unique. And they do it well serving tasty fresh hummus with warm pita and a range of other accompaniments including meatballs, kidney beans, extra chickpea (really?!) and some nice chilli & lemon sources.

The only issue is the price. At £5.50 for a decent size portion it doesn't stack up in terms of value. Let’s be honest, hummus & bread has got to be one of the cheapest meals known to man, especially when made on a large scale, so i feel robbed at getting £4 back from a tenner. I'd rather go over the road to ITSU and get a big sushi-box - much fresher and more exotic than mushed up chickpeas.
