<![CDATA[Greater London - Westminster - St. John's Wood - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Stay away if you value your baby's health!! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/st-johns-wood/hospitals/hospital-of-st-john-st-elizabeth-nw89nh.html#r55359 This hospital is terrible... after the following experience with them I am now looking for the NHS to help me & my baby: I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and first visited them at around 12 weeks. In all that time I have had NO urine, blood or check ups, only the initial meeting with the midwife and consultant. Apparently they have also lost all of my notes from the initial visit. From the start I told them I was resus negative, another thing they "forgot". I am in need of a vital injection but thanks to the St John & Elizabeth, it may be too late. If you value your baby's health, do not even step foot in this disasterously run place. I gave birth to my first child in a very friendly, efficent NHS hospital 10 times better and safer than this. I never thought it would be possible for a hospital to put a mother and baby's health in danger and them charge for the privilege.

it's just not cricket http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/st-johns-wood/stadiums/lords-cricket-ground-nw88qp.html#r29381 If you are a cricket fan you have to go here. It is easy to access by the tube system, and it has the best atmosphere ever. Great shop to buy all your stuff.. Was well worth the visit a the days cricket i saw ( MCC v Pakistan ).. all very modern facilities though beer prices were somewhat steep.. captive audience!

It's the home of cricket http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/st-johns-wood/stadiums/lords-cricket-ground-nw88qp.html#r29273 If you love cricket you love Lords, it's as simple as that. Get on the tour if you can, they take you into the Long Room and there's a fantastic view from the Media Centre as well. And it's the only place you're ever going to get to see The Ashes! Can't wait to return in June for the ODI against New Zealand!

Lying, Greed, lack of Ethics http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/st-johns-wood/estate-agents/winkworth-nw86pl.html#r25474 Winkworh of St. John's Wood signed a contract stating that if we let them carry out a loft conversion in the property that we rent from them, then they would not increase our rent. Now they are demanding a 25% increase in rent. The deal was, we let them do the renovation, we continue to live here for 1 more year, they do not increase our rent. They are completely disregarding our contract in order to get market value for their property.

Great Menu! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/st-johns-wood/turkish-restaurants/sofra-nw86nx.html#r18751 I'd never been to a Turkish restaurant before but what a great introduction. One of the best menu's I've ever seen! I wanted to try everything. A range of priced dishes to suit different budgets. I had the Malaysian king prawn curry, huge prawns in their shells, clearly high quality ingredients. All my companions went for the shoulder of lamb following a previous visit having enjoyed it so much. Deserts were also of a high quality. Only slightly odd thing was that there was no music and I think this could have added to the ambiance.

Small pub big prices http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/westminster/st-johns-wood/restaurant-bars/the-duke-of-york-nw86pj.html#r18743 Due to a surprising absence of bars and pubs in SJW the Duke of York is the default choice. It is a nice place, fairly traditional, interesting mix of clientel (when we were there we were joined by a bridal party and a hip indie band, presumably recording down the road) I made the mistake of ordering 'a' bottle of wine without specifying which from the wine list and was charged top wack which i thought was a bit cheeky.
