<![CDATA[North West - Manchester - Manchester - Entertainment and Culture - Cinemas - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en AMC cinemas http://www.welovelocal.com/en/nw/manchester/manchester/cinemas/a-m-c-cinema-m34en.html#r8074 This cinema is located just off five ways. It is probably the cheapest cinema in the city. Especially if you have a student's i.d. card, you save much more. They show all the big blockbusters, you can buy tickets online as well. Highly recommended.

CornerHouse http://www.welovelocal.com/en/nw/manchester/manchester/cinemas/cornerhouse-m15nh.html#r8075 This place is located at the very top of famous oxford road on manchester. It empasses a cafe, art gallery and a cinema in a separate but adjacent building. The cinema tends to show plenty of small budget independent films from all over the world and also the occassional hollywood blockbuster. If you happen to get there early for your movie, you can spend time in the cafe or checking out the ever changing exhibitions. Its definetely a place that you will visit over and over especially because the cinema is always screening great films. Highly recommended.

With three screens, there is plenty of choice, and special events such as the Sunday Breakfast Club and the Spanish Film Festival attract large crowds. Providing a real alternative to multiplex, blockbuster fare, the Cornerhouse is a genuine Manchester institution.
