<![CDATA[West Midlands - Birmingham - Carlton - Eating, Drinking and Nightlife - Indian Restaurants - Reviews]]> http://www.welovelocal.com Reviews from welovelocal.com en Good food but http://www.welovelocal.com/en/wm/birmingham/carlton/indian-restaurants/cafe-lazeez-b11rf.html#r51352 Arrived party of 8 we had booked & also received call on day to confirm booking so somewhat surprised when we turned up & where told they had no liqour licence!! This had not been mentioned at any stage. Food was good but manager's attitude to certain issues was dreadful & we will not be returning.Quite embarrassing when entertaining clients that we had to go to Tescos for liquid refreshments Shame really but bad attitude outshines decent food anytime

Excellent Indian Cuisine http://www.welovelocal.com/en/wm/birmingham/carlton/indian-restaurants/cafe-lazeez-b11rf.html#r44807 I have been there twice. Both been good experience. The food there is really good. The food portion seems small but it really filling. I will recommend the Saag Paneer - Spinach and cottage cheese. It's not spicy and its really nice. the cottage cheese is a bit chewy which is compliment to the spinach. This is a 'must' try dish. You have the choice to have the dishes with naan bread or rice. They have variety of Indian dessert or Indian sweet we call them. They also have the best Indian milkshake - Mango Lassi. This is in the 'must' try list. The customer service is good. The staffs there are very friendly and helpful.

Clean Curry! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/wm/birmingham/carlton/indian-restaurants/cafe-lazeez-b11rf.html#r27304 This place looks like a brothel when you walk in, it is full of gold trimmings and nasty plastic beads!

But when you tuck into the food... A-MAZE-ZING!

There isn't the usual stodgy greasy texture of curry with a solid brick of rice - Just good clean tasty food

Give it a go

Don't get shot.... http://www.welovelocal.com/en/wm/birmingham/carlton/indian-restaurants/cafe-lazeez-b11rf.html#r27185 I hear that bullets often fly over your head here, however the food is worth the risk.

It's a posh indian restaurant and the lamb shank is amazing. It's certainly worth a visit as your blood will be pumping because of the danger aspect but also you'll have a tasty meal too. It is expensive for a curry but then you'd kind of expect it to be.

Indian with a Twist http://www.welovelocal.com/en/wm/birmingham/carlton/indian-restaurants/cafe-lazeez-b11rf.html#r25006 Birmingham has MANY curry houses, but this is the most stylish I've found so far. It's hidden right in the corner of the Mailbox next to Tesco which makes it a bit of a hidden gem...

Lazeez's dishes are all slightly unusual compared to the typical indian restaurant fare and are presented in a way more like you'd find in a top-notch restaurant so you'll be pleasantly surprised even if you order the most standard of dishes.

Plenty of bling and crystals around the place and two bars, although they've recently introduced a "bring your own" policy for alcohol... which'll just make your night cheaper. Who's complaining!

Like no other http://www.welovelocal.com/en/wm/birmingham/carlton/indian-restaurants/cafe-lazeez-b11rf.html#r24752 curry house. This is best described as a restaurant which serves curry. Quite simply, fabulous. You aren't presented with a menu which is thicker than the argos catalogue but yet there is plenty of choice.

It seems according to other reviews the lamb shank is awesome and I would have to agree. Also try the prawns!!

Classy curry, hi-brow balti, call it what you want. But DEFINITELY go. You will love
